Berry Smith is delighted to have advised Andrew Housley and his team on the sale of Europest Environmental Services Limited to a subsidiary of US based Rollins Inc.

Europest was founded in 2001 by Andrew Housley with three former colleagues, including Richard Edwards, Morgan Francis and Lee Davison and was part of the Eurogroup of companies which specialise in the management of pest and bird control, washroom and clinical waste services to customers both large and small.

The business had grown into one of the largest independent companies in the area, employing 26 staff with clients extending from West and Mid Wales, through to South Wales and around the Bristol and Gloucester areas.

Berry Smith worked closely with Andrew throughout the transaction to facilitate succession plans and to help deliver a smooth transaction. The strategic acquisition by Rollins further expands their UK presence which began with the acquisition of Safeguard Pest Control in 2016. Since then, the AMES Group, Kestrel Pest Control, Enviropest, Baroque Pest Services, the Guardian Group, Albany Environmental, Van Vynck Environmental, IPM and NBC Environment have all been acquired into the group.

Emma Borrington, Corporate Partner, led the deal for Berry Smith. Other key members of the Berry Smith team who worked on the transaction were Sarah Alford and Selena Baker (Employment), Ellen Lewis and Nadira Islam (Corporate Finance) and Martin Pursall and Melissa Brown (Commercial Property).
