This week, Berry Smith’s corporate team is once again celebrating the success of being shortlisted for the Wales Dealmakers Awards.
The Wales Dealmakers Awards 2023 will be held at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff on the 28th September 2023. The evening will celebrate the successes of the corporate finance scene in Wales by bringing together the corporate lawyers, finance advisers and funders that have been essential to the many lucrative deals seen over the past year.
This year, the team is delighted to have received a grand total of 6 nominations across the awards, including in the ‘Corporate Law Firm of the Year’ and ‘Deal of the Year’ categories. The nominations recognise the dedication and fantastic service offered by the corporate finance team and demonstrate Berry Smith’s position as a leading Corporate Finance adviser in Wales.
The corporate team enjoyed a very successful 2022-2023, working on a diverse range of complex deals and alongside some of the top corporate funders and financial advisers in Wales. This includes representing the shareholders of Cansford Laboratories Limited in their sale to the Phenna Group (Deal of the Year), guiding LCB Group Holdings in their equity investment process, advising on the Buyout of Avantis Marine from Envoy & Partners (both for Private Equity/ Venture Capital Deal of the Year), and working with the shareholders of Group SCS on their sale to Swedish-based Systemair AB (Small Deal of the Year and International Deal of the Year).
