Berry Smith is delighted to have advised Cwmbran based technology company, Hudman Limited, on its sale to Advanced Computer Software Group, the UKs third largest software and services company
Hudman provides cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for manufacturing, engineering and construction industries and has an established track record with a small yet proven customer base across a number of industries. Its cloud ERP solution covers the entire business process, from accounts and payroll, to operations, stock control, customers and supply chain.
The sale of Hudman is also the first exit for the Finance Wales Technology Seed Fund, less than a year after its equity investment in the company.
David James, managing director of Hudman, comments: “This acquisition opens up an exciting new chapter for our software and is a result of the hard work by everyone at Hudman. Following investment rounds in 2015 and 2016, we have continued to invest heavily into the development of our ERP solution and we are extremely pleased that this has been recognised.”
Berry Smith worked closely with the Hudman sellers to achieve a smooth sale within a tightly structured transaction.
Paul Evans, who led the transaction for Berry Smith, commented “Having advised Hudman in 2016 in respect of the equity investment by Finance Wales, we were delighted to again have the opportunity of working closely with the Hudman team. We have seen the company go from strength to strength and the transaction shows Berry Smith’s continued desire to work with small but dynamic companies focused on achieving successful returns for its stakeholders.”
