Berry Smith are delighted to have represented the shareholders of Cansford Laboratories Limited in their sale to the Phenna Group. The private equity backed deal will amplify Cansford’s future growth plans and cements their position as a market leader in drug and alcohol testing services.
Cansford Laboratories was set up in 2010 and has developed a reputation as a fast, reliable, and innovative leader in high quality drug, alcohol, and steroid testing. Its founders pioneered hair testing more than 25 years ago, dedicating their careers since to innovation in the drug and alcohol testing services industry.
Today, its methods are used by laboratories globally. Cansford’s team of experts offer hair, oral fluid, nail, and dry blood spot testing with related services including collection and expert witness support.
Berry Smith worked closely with John and Lolita during the transaction, providing commercially focused legal advice throughout. The team led the drafting and negotiation of the legal terms for the shareholders, facilitating the navigation of a complex transactional process with minimal fuss.
